The Supreme Court-mandated panel has urged the government of Punjab and Haryana to take action against stubble burning in the States. The deterioration in the quality of air has been caused by bursting of crackers, stubble burning and the burning of rubber scrap. The air quality in Delhi is in the 'hazardous' category with an AQI of 425.
