6:53Now PlayingThe DGCA has further extended for the airline Indigo to replace all their unmodified Pratt and Whitney (PW) engine from the 31st of January to the 31st of May. The Indian Aviation Regulator; Directorate General of Civil Aviation in its statement has said that it is a constraint to set up a tight timeline for the change of engines and added that the unmodified engines need to be dispensed.
Over the past 1 year, there have been multiple cases of technical glitches that Indigo aircraft have reported because of the unmodified Pratt and Whitney (PW) engines which are now called the faulty engines.
