4:35Now PlayingBengaluru has noticed a huge spike in COVID-19 cases, it is reported that 2,500 COVID cases have been reported. It is also said that every sixth day COVID cases are being doubled. On July 1, the containment zone had around 550 cases and the recovery rate was 15 percent whereas July 7 noticed 3,206 cases and recovery rate reduced to 14 percent. Bengaluru has also noticed a shortage in beds and asymptomatic patients are being hospitalized, the government has also taken steps for contact tracing policy but it is only limited to family members. The treatment plan that is designed for hospitals is still not streamlined until now. Certain areas with a huge number of COVID-19 cases have implemented lockdown rules. Shanthinagar and Domlur have implemented the lockdown. Shop owners in Mallesheshwaram and Brigade Road have decided to shut down their shops in order to curb the spread of the virus.
