Vikas Dubey is the prime accused in the killing of 8 policemen during an encounter in Bikru village of Kanpur. He was arrested from Mahakaal temple in Madya Pradesh’s Ujjain district. The Uttar Pradesh police have already killed four aides of Vikas Dubey in separate encounters.
Madhya Pradesh Home minister Narottam Mishra tried to take credit for the gangster’s arrest. Speaking to the media minutes after Dubey was whisked away to an unidentified location for medical examination and questioning.
