On The Urban Debate with Tanvi Shukla, the national educational policy was being discussed. A change in the education system was needed, and it took place after 34 years. Lata Vaidyanathan, an Educationist, explains that she is worried about children moving from state to state or a classroom with children who speak multiple languages, at that time, who will decide the mother tongue or what is the regional language.

Dr. MK Sridar, Member of National Educational Policy Drafting Committee 2020, states that the country needs to emphasize on multilingualism and we need to have an ecosystem which will facilitate picking up and transacting in as many languages as possible, he further states that this is the approach of the policy.

Only 1-2 percent of India is in transferrable jobs, for those children that are in Kendra Vidyalayas and Central schools, they will ensure that the interest of these students are taken care of, says Shweta Shalini, BJP, who emphasizes on the use of mother tongue as a medium of instruction.
