Now, the case is slightly turning into an ego battle between the Bihar and Mumbai police, especially after the Supreme Court’s hearing.
The Apex Court has raised a question on quarantining Patna SP Vinay Tiwari, while Bihar police claim that it is a virtual house arrest, Mumbai Police, on the other hand, denies the allegation saying that is a mandatory move with respect to COVID-19
Why should the two police department be locking horns like this? Is it high time for the police & government now to step back and let CBI investigate?
‘Unprofessional conduct has been displayed by both Mumbai & Bihar Police. If the police were really autonomous & professional, the Sushant Singh Rajput case could have been solved in 5 days’ says Former IPS Officer, Yashovardhan Azad. While, Advocate Geeta Luthra state, ‘Question is that can a person who doesn’t have jurisdiction, transfer the matter to Centre. The law envisages that to get CBI to enquire, the state police should agree. In this case, Maharashtra is the jurisdictional Police & they've not agreed’.
