Three states in India have been affected by the monsoon mayhem in the country, Kerala, Karnataka, and Uttarakhand are bearing the brunt of the monsoon season. The states are ravished by floods, lives have been lost, people are homeless. Kerala and Karnataka have been facing the brunt of floods for two years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held a review meeting today with the Chief Minister of six states who are affected due to floods. Assam has been dealing with the situation of floods for one month. Bihar floods have wreaked havoc in the state.

Kerala has reported one of the worst landslides in the state during the monsoon season. The Idukki landslide death toll stands at 48. The rescue operations for the landslide are ongoing. It has been four days. Parts of Karnataka too are suffering from the monsoon mayhem, Incessant rains in Uttara Kannada are forcing people to take refuge in shelter camps now.
