Section 144 has been imposed in Bengaluru while curfew has been set up in DJ Halli, KG Halli, and Kaval Byrasandra police station limits. The mob had resorted to argon, burning down vehicles and government transports of Officials.
The violence broke out after Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy's kin allegedly posted against Prophet Mohammed on social media. The police have arrested over 100 people in this riot and 3 people have been reported dead as of now. Almost 60 police personnel have sustained major injuries.
