Following an incident where Kanimozhi, DMK Turicorin MP alleged that she was asked 'are you an Indian!' by a CISF officer as the MP asked he to speak in Tamil, CISF has decided to undertake 'enhanced efforts' to deploy more personnel who know the local language.
Kanimozhi thanked CISF for taking action but also mentioned that it is an attitude which is visible in many Central government offices which should be dealt with. The incident had occurred on Sunday at Chennai Airport and CISF is conducting an inquiry into the matter.
