Cricketer turned politician Chetan Chauhan passes away at the age of 73 due to multiple organ failure. He was admitted at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Lucknow after he tested positive for Coronavirus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other famous personalities expressed their condolences over Chetan’s demise.

Union Minister Chetan Chauhan was the former opener of Indian Cricket Team and served as the longest opening partner to Sunil Gavaskar. He represented India in forty test matches and seven ODI matches. Chauhan was awarded the ‘Arjuna Award’ in the year 1981.
