YouTube Description
as posted by the channelChief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, during his speech for Independence Day, hinted that he has people's support and will continue to work for them. Moments later a 13 member team including Ministers Sengottaiyan, SP Velumani, Thangamani, Jayakumar, Dindigul Srinivasan and CV Shanmugam met with Deputy Chief Minister Panneerselvam at his residence and then held a meeting with CM EPS which went for 30 ministers and are once again at DCM OPS' house.
The alleged reason behind the emergency meetings was over the comments made by Ministers Sellur K Raju and Rajendra Balaji over who would be the next CM candidate. Seller Raju, Minister for Cooperatives has stated that after Election, all MLAs will decide as to who will be the next CM but Rajendra Balaji, Minister for Dairy Products, apparently proclaimed that EPS will CM again in Twitter.
However later that day, a statement was released from AIADMK Head Quarters which didn't bring an end to the controversy but mentioned that party men have reacted to baseless statements in the past few days. The statement signed by both CM and DCM urged cadres to follow the same military discipline which was present during Jayalalitha's reign. Furthermore, the statement has also warned party cadres of any stature to not comment on issues without the consent from the Head Quarters or else face strict action.
