Union Ministry says, ‘Of the total no. of Covid-19 cases, 25% are active. Average recoveries per day are more than 55,000. 1.92% is the daily fatality rate. The aim is to bring down the fatality rate below 1%. The average number of tests per day in July was 2,30,000. Now, this is increased to more than 8 lakh tests. The positivity rate has come down from 10% to 7.7%. The average positivity rate is reducing. When you test more, you identify faster, that is why the recovery rate is also increasing’.
