He has also clarified and insisted that he has contributed a lot more to the Eelam Tamil cause and is being targeted solely because he played for the Sri Lankan cricket team.
He has further stated that his comments about 2009 have been twisted where he meant that with war comes destruction. Furthermore he has gone ahead to say that he has worked a lot for the welfare for Eelam community.
