A government appointed scientific panel has released a study report on Covid-19. Tanvi Shukla reports the key findings of the report.
Some of them include that the lockdown did help in saving lives; Covid-19 peaked in September and is a good news; winter might increase the spread; pandemic might end by February 2021 and that lockdown cannot be continued even though the pandemic still exists.
Mirror Now reporters present the hustle and bustle from various states across the nation during the festive season ignoring the pandemic guidelines.
Dr. Samir Dalwai, NCP and Developmental Paediatrician, says that many children and adults are experiencing anxiety which is bound to make them go out and make living indoors difficult. He further goes on to say that viruses stay for thousands of years.
Tanwi Das, Political Analyst comments on the festive season and comments that the socio-economic structure depends on the festive season in Bengal. If the annual source of income is cut off, she says, they will starve to death before Covid. So Durga Puja cannot be stopped.
