Karnataka's Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar has stated that the coronavirus vaccine will be available for free to the people once ready. This decision is yet to be discussed with the chief minister and the cabinet. Dr. Sudhakar also stated that taking care of the people during this pandemic is the responsibility of the government.

A crucial meeting is to be held in Bengaluru next week to discuss how the vaccine should be administered within Karnataka. Karnataka will identify under-repair equipment at its vaccine stores across the state to prepare cold chain capacity for storing Covid-19 vaccines in the future.
