The fuel prices are at an all-time 2-year high, further adding to the recession woes. The fuel prices have raised 15 times since November 20. The price of petrol in Delhi stands at Rs 83.71, in Mumbai, it's beyond Rs 90/liter. Diesel too has gone up to Rs 80.5/liter now. Should the Central and state governments step in and provide the much-needed relief to the common man? Furthermore, can the government afford to give relief, given that the economy is in recession?
