2:07Now PlayingAnother war of words is seen surging between the Indian Medical Association and Ayush Minister. The Central Government, recently, made amendments in PG Ayurveda Education regulation and allowed Ayurvedic doctors to attempt surgeries. The Government even came up with a new term ‘Mixopathy’ for ayurvedic surgeons.
To oppose this move, the Indian Medical Association has called for the withdrawal of all non-essential and non-COVID services between 6 am and 6 pm on Friday. The medical body further sought withdrawal of Ayush Surgery notification and even vowed to intensify the agitation. The revolt is currently underway in more than 1000 centres.
