16:05Now PlayingOn The Urban Debate today Tanvi Shukla talks about the faceoff between the Kerala government and the Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan. The governor declined the request for a special assembly session. A special Assembly session was recommended by the Pinarayi Vijayan government, as they wanted to discuss the new farm laws. Pinarayi Vijayan's government sought permission for a one-day session by the governor. This has triggered a massive political faceoff as the Vijayan's government is saying that the governor should give this permission since the recommendation is being made by the majority government. Arif Khan, on the other hand, asks for justification from the Vijayan government on the need for a special session. Kerala is one of those states which will go into elections in the coming year.
