1:31Now PlayingThe Allahabad High Court has ordered the reinstatement of a home guard who was sacked for being gay. The court held that public display of affection from a member of the LGBT community towards their partner as long as it is not indecent can not be dictated by the majority perception. The home guard was fired from his job on charges of 'indecency' after a video of him 'showing affection' to his gay partner went viral. Justice Sunita Agarwal quashed the order by concerned authorities to cancel the guard's appointment based on the viral video in Bulandshahr district. The judge ordered the Commandant of Home Guard services in Lucknow to immediately reinstate the victim.
