Fraudsters are selling used cylinders filled with CO2 as well fire extinguishers in the name of oxygen cylinders to people in need and urgent emergency. This covid catastrophe has not yet reached out to hoarders and black marketer who are rampantly selling fake and useless equipment being used to save people’s lives.
The police has recovered 532 fire extinguishers so far and arrested 3 culprits involved in the selling. This outright criminality and fraud unfolds from various locations of the country where these fraudulent activities are taking place at the expense of helpless patients in these unprecedented times while people are scrambling for medical essentials.
