A man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly defrauding a relative of a patient suffering from a black fungus infection by offering to home deliver the prescription needed for care for 3,000 dollars. He was found to be in possession of two cellphones. Further research is underway to determine the total number of victims and the total amount of money he earned by deception. According to police, this is one of the first cyber fraud arrests in the capital involving black fungus medicines. The accused allegedly took Rs 3,000 from the victim by promising to deliver amphotericin B, but never delivered the drug.
