India may soon start testability of two different doses of covid vaccine to see if it helps boost the immune response to the virus. The testing might be carried out using both the vaccines currently available in-country, i.e. Covishield and Covaxin, or those in the pipeline. The work is supposed to begin in a few days. Dr NK Arora, chairman of the covid-19 working group under the national and international technical advisory committee on immunisation, has backed this test. Apart from this, an increased supply of the vaccine jabs is being anticipated, given the ramp-up in production by the manufacturers. India has stated that by July end and August beginning, the country will be able to vaccinate 1 Cr people and try different methods to try and find out a solution to be given the vaccine.
