as posted by the channelThe Supreme Court today stayed Andhra Pradesh's proceedings against two television stations and issued a notice to the state government, saying, 'It's time we define sedition's limitations.' The Supreme Court ruled that the Andhra Pradesh government should not take any coercive measures against Telugu news outlets TV 5 and ABN Andhra Jyoti. At a separate hearing on Covid vaccination, Justice Chandrachud used the word "sedition" in a harsh remark. In a FIR, the Andhra TV channels were charged with sedition for airing the words of Kanumuri Raghurama Krishnam Raju, a renegade member of Andhra Pradesh's ruling YSR Congress. Mr Raju had already slammed his own government's handling of Covid.
