PM Modi talked about ramping up the efforts to procure vaccine jabs from abroad as well as production in India. He also added that the Centre will procure vaccines for states and all above 18+ age group will be jabbed for free. He shared that no state will have to spend money on procuring vaccines as the Centre will take over 75% of the sourcing process. Co-convenor of All India Drug Action Network Malini Aisola said that we need full transparency in the number of doses that are being ordered and supplied to the Centre versus to private hospitals.
