In the latest update regarding the coronavirus pandemic, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued new guidelines for vaccination of people undertaking international travel for education, employment and India's contingent for the Tokyo Olympics yesterday. As per the new SOPs, the CoWIN certificates of vaccinated travellers will be linked with their passports. States have been asked to assign authority for permission to administer the second dose of Covishield before completion of the currently mandated minimum interval of 84 days from the date of the first dose for people undertaking international travel for education or employment.
