A massive fire broke out yesterday at a chemical factory in Pune yesterday evening that claimed at least 18 lives. 18 of them were rescued however, 1 person is still missing. Teams of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) fire brigade had rushed to the spot. Out of the 18, 15 of them were women. The fire broke out at SVS Aqua Technologies in Urawade near Pirangut in Mulshi taluka, a factory that produces chlorine dioxide tablet for water purification. NCP's Nawab Malik said we will conduct a thorough investigation after the rescue operations are over. MIRROR NOW's Mayur brings in more details on this incident.
