Maharashtra is witnessing a rapid spike here, As many as 7,395 black fungus cases out of which 644 people have died so far. A maximum number of black fungus cases have been reported in districts, this includes Pune, Nagpur, Nasik, and Kolhapur. Maharashtra govt has recently put a cap on the treatment of Black fungus cases. The reasons for this have not yet been ascertained as to why the corona is spreading the most in these four districts.
