The toolkit became a bone of contention between the two parties when BJP leader Sambit Patra put out a tweet, claiming that the toolkit was framed by the Congress party in order to defame the Centre in its efforts. The Congress party registered a case in the Chhattisgarh HC on May 18, following which the High Court termed it a manipulated media. A petition was filed by the accused BJP leaders in the Bilaspur High Court which was later rejected.
