BJP MLAs started a parallel assembly session outside the House, following a protest against suspension of 12 BJP legislators Praveen Darekar, LoP in Maharashtra Legislative Council, announced that Kalidas Kolambkar will be Speaker in their session .
The BJP leaders also protested with sloganeering and holding banners against the issue of OBC reservation, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), and farmers distress. The MLAs who were suspended from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly also met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Monday and requested his intervention in the matter.
