1:37Now PlayingThe Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition by former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. In this petition, Deshmukh had sought quashing of the FIR registered against him by the CBI in a corruption case. Simultaneously, the court also dismissed the state government's plea challenging portions of the CBI's FIR against Deshmukh. Deshmukh had to resign as Home Minister in April this year due to a money laundering case related to alleged multi-crore bribery and extortion gang case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), the central agency probing the case, had recently arrested Anil Deshmukh's personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde.
