Six Assam police jawans were martyred, one was sub-inspector, and the others were the commanded level jawans who were deployed at the border. There were major clashes at the Assam-Mizoram border yesterday. The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived at Silchar and paid his tribute to Jawans who lost their lives in these clashes. Over 80 people including officials injured in firing that happened between Assam and Mizoram at the Assam-Mizo border area along the Kachhad district.
