4:25Now PlayingMonsoon wreaks havoc in Madhya Pradesh and the heavy rains have now resulted in the death of 18 people in the state. Heavy rains lashed in several parts of Madhya Pradesh leading to flash floods in some parts of the state. IMD has now issued an alert for heavy rains for as many as 23 districts in Madhya Pradesh. Gwalior and Chambal are the worst-hit areas from the flash floods. The rescue operations are currently underway and the rescue teams have helped as many as 30,000 people from Gwalior and Chambal districts. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister took stock of the situation and announced compensation for the kin of those affected. However, the government is yet to assess the damage caused.
