8:44Now PlayingOn Friday morning, a horrific tragedy occurred on Magadi Road on the outskirts of the Bangalore city. When the rider of the scooter she was riding pillion on swerved to dodge a major pothole on the road, the teenager fell off and was mowed down by a truck. This is the second accident on the same route in less than three days as a result of motorists attempting to dodge potholes. Krishnappa, 57, a sub-inspector of the Excise Department, was killed in an accident on Wednesday night as he attempted to navigate a pothole and collided with the wheels of a lorry. The city had been given a respite from having to patch potholes on roughly 14,000 kilometres of road by September 30. The revised dates are for filling potholes on main roads until October 10 and for filling potholes on interior and ward roads until October 25.
