The Centre has now said that the admission process for this year will be put on hold due to its re-reviewal of the EWS quota. Tanvi Shukla explains the matter and the row clearly before throwing the conversation open to our panelists of the day. Prof. CB Sharma, an educationist joins us and says that these regular reversals in syllabi and guidelines and says that students will suffer. We are also joined by Kapil Gupta, CEO of Neetprep.com who answers some pointed questions posed by Shukla. Subin Sabu, a student waiting for NEET PG admission who says that ‘state admissions should start’ and says that ‘PG students are suffering.’ Professor Gobhardhan Das a leader from the BJP who defends the government’s decision. Charu Mathur, an advocate for the petitioner who explains the decision behind the petition and its potential effects. Mamta Sharma, an advocate in the Supreme Court also weighs in with her opinions. Anubha S. Sahai, president of India Wide Parents Association says that the new EWS rules may be misused by rich students and says that ‘government schools and colleges should be opened instead of focusing on quotas.’
