Resident doctors are continuing to stage a nationwide protest over the delay in NEET PG 2021 counselling. Even after meeting with the health minister Mansukh Mandaviya, resident doctors said that they are still not satisfied with the government's assurances. They claimed that there is a shortage of 40,000 doctors in the country. Doctors boycotted the outpatient department (OPD) and all elective services. They are demanding timely and regular payment of stipend and COVID-19 risk allowance. They said that it is hard to deal with the third wave of covid with the shortage of doctors.
