Reportedly, the DMK has decided to shut down all Amma mini clinics, which was a scheme launched by the previous AIADMK government, citing lack of performance, and improper functioning. On this, the AIADMK hits back and calls it a 'vendetta.' These clinics were launched in December 2020, and over 2000 plus clinics were setup across the state. The DMK has stated that the resources recovered from shutting down these clinics will further used for covid-19 & essential services to the poor.
