The DMK government will shut down Amma mini-clinics launched by the previous AIADMK government, Health Minister Ma Subramanian announced on Tuesday. He said the decision was made because the clinics were not functioning properly. However, he said that the health department would give doctors appointed at these clinics other opportunities. Although, DMK has been accusing the government of running vendetta against them. “Amma mini-clinics were opened with the sole intention to help poor people in rural and urban areas get treatment near to their residence," Edappadi K Palaniswami said.
