The supreme court will take up the petition which seeks a probe into the matter. The Petition states that the private people were given access to the PM's route and as per the protocol neither the Chief Secretary nor the DGP joined the PM's rally. The Punjab government has set up a high-level team to probe the incident, which is expected to investigate and file a report in three days. Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind met Prime Minister Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi today. The President received a first-hand account of the incident, his Twitter account said, adding that the President also expressed his concerns over the security lapse.
