Controversy has now erupted, with students wearing saffron scarves and shawls claiming that if those wearing Hijabs won't be stopped from entering the classroom, then the students wearing saffron scarves should also be allowed. The matter has now taken a political turn. However, the college in Chikkamagaluru later allowed female students wearing Hijab to enter the classroom and a meeting will be called on Jan 10.
