The Health Minister of Tamil Nadu has now issued a statement that almost 100% of the govt school students between the age group of 15-17 have been administered the first dose of the COVID vaccine. He further added that overall 76% of children in that age group have been jabbed with the first dose. This comes at a time when the city of Chennai has reported over 9,000 fresh COVID infections in the last 24 hours and Tamil Nadu overall has recorded 24,000 new COVID cases.
