This is in connection to the pleas which were filed in the apex court, challenging the constitutional validity of the stringent liquor law. Liquor is strictly banned in Bihar and the liquor companies have moved the top court. The Supreme Court has now also ordered the transfer of similar petitions from Patna High Court to itself.
Times Network's Harish reports on this issue and adds that this is a significant development as far as the stringent liquor law in Bihar is concerned. The case hearing will now take place in the month of April.
