The Supreme Court ordered Maharashtra's Commission Election to hold the local body polls without reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC). Supreme Court on Thursday refused to accept the interim report of the Maharashtra State Backward Classes Commission, recommending the restoration of 27 percent reservation for OBCs in local body elections. The court order said that the report is incomplete and lacks relevant data, the bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and CT Ravikumar stated this while hearing the petition.
"Congress is a liar part. No party can snatch reservation given by constitution" said Rajeev Pandey.
