4:31Now PlayingThe Russian army has said it is halting its offensive temporarily so residents can leave the encircled Azov Sea city of Mariupol in the Donetsk People's Republic. Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine to allow civilians to leave the cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha. The ceasefire was expected to begin at 10 a.m. Moscow time (2 a.m. ET) Saturday, but there was no immediate confirmation that attacks by Russian forces had stopped. Russia's Defense Ministry said, "Today, March 5, from 10 am Moscow time, the Russian side declares a regime of silence and opens humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians from Mariupol and Volnovakha.” Watch the video to know more.
