as posted by the channelIn the latest news concerning the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the top court has granted bail to Perarivalan who was a convict in the case. The top court has also questioned the Tamil Nadu Governor for not deciding on the release recommendation of the state government, that was issued in September 2018. Perarivalan was spending a life sentence in jail and the court observed that he had already spent over 30 years in jail. Meanwhile, the plea for the remission of his life imprisonment is still pending before the President and the bail granted to him his based on several conditions.
