as posted by the channelAs per breaking inputs coming in on Mirror Now, the Mumbai police on Sunday registered an FIR against the Maharashtra Bhartiya Janata Party MLA Nitesh Rane and his brother Nilesh Rane for allegedly making remarks against NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Reportedly, the case was filed at the Azad Maidan police thana under various Indian Penal Code sections of criminal conspiracy, defamation, etc based on a complaint of NCP functionary Shrinivas alias Vyankatrao Suraj Chavan. Sources suggest that Chavan shared some video footage with the police that showcased the Rane brothers, sons of Union minister Narayan Rane, purportedly making remarks against Pawar.
