8:46Now PlayingCongress MPs protest at the Gandhi statue in Parliament, over the increase in the prices of LPG cylinder gas and petrol & diesel. After petrol and diesel prices were raised by 80 paise for the second day in a row on Wednesday, the Congress stepped up its attack on the BJP administration, saying it would protest both within and outside Parliament. On Tuesday, after a 137-day pause in rate revisions, prices were raised by 80 paise per litre. Since November 4, prices have been frozen in anticipation of assembly elections in five states. Outside the Gandhi statue in the Parliament House complex, Congress MPs from both houses of Parliament protested the price hike in gasoline, diesel, and LPG gas. In both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, party MPs have issued adjournment notices to discuss the issue.
