3:02Now PlayingThe Shiv Sena had shelved the Ratnagiri Oil and Refinery Petrochemical Project in Nanar village of Maharashtra but the government is now looking at reviving it. Speaking to Mirror Now, Maharashtra Industry Minister Subhash Desai confirmed that they have an alternate land site for the oil refinery project. "In Rajapur tehsil, Ratnagiri district, people are ready to accept the project. They are insisting that we need such a project to create jobs for youth and the overall upliftment of the area," he added. The new site is Rajapur, just a few km away from Nanar. This project was proposed by the BJP and Shiv Sena in 2015. However, it was stalled due to protests by those occupying the area. Watch this to know more!
