2:30Now PlayingThe economic capital of India Mumbai becomes India's first city to have a fully digital bus service. Maharashtra State Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray, on Wednesday, inaugurated the city's first completely digital bus on the Gateway of India to Churchgate route, with a unique Tap-in Tap-out feature. This is the first-ever NCMC implementation of such scale and magnitude in India. It has been implemented under BEST's RFP for 'Selection of Service Provider for NCMC Compliant Digital Tickets Solutions' by Chalo, India's leading transport technology company, in partnership with RuPay, the flagship product of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), and YES BANK. Bus passengers will also be able to use NCMCs issued by other issuers on BEST buses. Transport payments across India The card can be used for instant contactless payments in BEST buses, and other transport modes across India, such as metros, wherever NCMC has been implemented.
