3:30Now PlayingIndia's premier institute IIT Madras has turned into a complete covid cluster. 13 more people have tested positive for the virus. The total covid caseload at IIT Madras has now risen to 196. Health department officials said that a total of 7,300 samples were collected from the campus and 196 of them turned out to be positive so far. All of the samples obtained from IIT-M were of the BA.2 Omicron variety, according to the genome sequencing lab of the state's Public Health Department. The health officials also said that 33 persons who tested positive have already been discharged and 22 more people will be discharged by the end of Saturday. Watch this to know more!
