2:01Now PlayingAmidst the sedition law row, the center has filed an affidavit and has asked the supreme court to dismiss all the plea that is challenging the sedition law. The center in its affidavit also said that the bench led by chief justice N. V. Ramana that the verdict in the Kedarnath Singh and the state of Bihar is upholding the sedition law and binding and does not need reconsideration. The center says to the top court that the previous Kedarnath verdict upholding sedition is binding and the individual cases of abuse can't be ground for reconsideration. Also, the center asked that don't refer the matter to the larger constitutional bench. The latest update is also coming that the matter of center who is defending sedition law on this matter the top court is going to make a hearing on 10th of May.
